Molto interessante ... ma molto molto interessante questo treno dei quattro pugliesi li ho ascoltati molto attraverso il loro myspace, queste atmosfere psichessive (sarebbe tra psichedeliche e progressive) attraverso la loro biografia ho visto che hanno una bella attività live hanno diviso il palco con molti artisti del nostro bel paese, all'attivo hanno Illusion uscito nel 2007 (tuttavia nel 2009 e' uscito l'Ep Ten Drops con video e nuova versione del brano piu' un inedito) e molte partecipazioni in compilation, ma tra tutte mi ha incuriosito una in particolare nel 2006 A Tribute to Dimebag Darrell/This Love, sarei veramente curioso si ascoltare la loro versione.

I don't know what I expected from Orient Express's "Illusion," but it sure wasn't this.

First off, let's be clear that this is not a hard rock or heavy metal album. "Illusion" is definitely rock, but it's more in the vein of atmospheric and ambient.. The songs flow calmly and smoothly, with guitars that buzz and simmer, while the vocalist lulls you into his world with an edgy but hypnotic voice. The pace never really picks up, yet the album is never dull. It's a very different listen and that alone makes it interesting.

If you're looking for headbanging material, you're better off looking elsewhere, but "Illusion" is definitely worth a listen if you're in the mood for something atmospheric and introspective.

Orient Express tra i finalisti regionali per il MEI 09

Gli Orient Express sono tra le band che hanno superato la prima fase del CONTEST bandito da KeepOn e dal MEI, GENERAZIONE MUSICALE A PROGETTO, e che passano automaticamente alla fase successiva di selezione LIVE nei locali del circuito KeepOn che hanno aderito all’iniziativa.

Le selezioni per la Puglia si terranno presso lo Spazio Off di Trani nei giorni 12 e 13 Novembre.

Sono state più di 300 le band iscritte al concorso che ambiscono ad almeno uno dei premi in palio: il premio della critica (MEI) ovvero la realizzazione di 300 copie del disco proposto, la produzione di un video clip e attività di ufficio stampa, e il premio targato KEEPON, un TOUR IN TUTTA ITALIA nei locali del circuito.

I vincitori della fase live di selezione si esibiranno nel palco KEEPON al prossimo Meeting delle Etichette Indipendenti di Faenza, che si terrà dal 27 al 29 novembre 2009, in rappresentanza anche del locale che li ha supportati (www.meiweb.it / http://www.audiocoop.it/).
